Unreal Map & Video

Our task for the past two weeks has been to produce an interesting Unreal Tournament map and a video presentation of the very same map using the matinee tool to demonstrate to the class.

The video had to last for a duration of five minutes and we were only allowed to use certain tools to produce this video.

First of all I created an Unreal Tournament Map. To do this I started by looking at previous maps that I created in order to save a little time. Once I found my desired map I felt I needed to refresh myself on the software, so therefore I began to do some research and have a little play with the software until I was confident to carry on.

Once I had a better idea of the editor programme I began to expand on what I had previously done. After countless hours perfecting the Unreal Tournament map, I was then able to proceed with producing a matinee movie.

As I have no previous knowledge of how to do this, and had basically forgot what was said in the class demonstration. I set about looking for tutorials in which I could learn from. The two best ones being:

I then began to produce the matinee video using what I had learnt and was allowed to use. Although I encountered numerous problems I was able to produce a five minutes worth video of the map I created using some of the features I was allowed to use.
