Final Assignment
For this assignment we were given the task of creating a playable movie sequence. This meant producing unreal maps that could be played while at the time creating a movie affect with matinee videos referencing flashbacks of a terrible event that has happened.
The plan for this assignment was to create crashed space ship that has crashed on a almost lifeless moon in a far away galaxy. Are player is supposed to wake up outside his spaceship witch is badly damaged. Form here he must enter the ship and a few flashback of the characters past is shown. After this the player enters out the back of the ship and is on the moon again. Following a mountain path again another flashback of how the player ended up on the moon is shown. As the player continues to walk though the moon a outpost can be seen. But the outpost is destroyed before your eyes. As you enter the damaged outpost you are then transported inside it. Structural damage can be seen in the outpost and a flashback is then shown of what went on at the outpost. This leads you to the upstairs of the outpost where there are burning barrels and an experiment pined to the wall. As the player reaches the barrels a matinee sequence will star showing an explosion and killing the player thus ending the game.
If I am being really honest I didn’t spend the correct amount of time on this assignment as many problems arose and unfortunately was unable to fix these problems. This can be seen in the work as levels don’t load up, and the video scenes don’t work and crash the unreal tournament game.
This has caused me to be a little upset as I really wanted to get a good mark for this assignment and to be honest I have done really poor on this module, and I am ashamed of it.
